Love finding these types of tours. You don't find many but nice when you do.
Frazerburgh to Stonehaven 60 miles and Stonehaven to Whitburn 120 miles.
They swapped it round a bit but for the most part these guys were obviously spending a few nights together. The six men listed on the 9th all wrestled on 10th and 11th.
These are certainly an unusual collection of wrestlers making the bills odd and hard to identify ownership. One explanation, and this is just an idea. Although we always say Joint exercised exclusivity for their wrestlers this was not strictly true. They had a list of approximately 500 towns and their wrestlers were not permitted to wrestle within a ten mile radius. In practical terms this meant their workers worked exclusively for them. Well. Almost. Maybe Frazerburgh and Stonehaven were just too far from Aberdeen for Joint to not care.
The 3rd night was billed as E and S Scottish Wrestling Promotions. I am not the best on promoters , but you make a good point Anglo. Does anyone know.
The presence of Barry Douglas makes it very interesting.
Were these Relwyskow wrestling bills or do we see a Joint Promotions promoter going it alone? Looks like it, given the year.
Intriguing disaffiliation.
