My first trainer/coach in professional wrestling was Grant Foderingham aka The Black Panther to whom I owe an enormous debt of gratitude.
In recent years I have been aware of a professional goalkeeper called Wes Foderingham current plying in he Premiership for Sheffield United. Some years back I asked Grnt but I have forgotten his answer except he is either his son or grandson.
Can anyone cast further light on this?
Thank you.

Hi all I am related to Grant, he was my grandfather. I have desperately trying to find more information about that side of the family especially his daughter Annette who is my mother, she still lives near Grant's gym.
Grant married five times in his vibrant years, as yet I couldn't find wes foderingham on any of the family trees. If anyone has any information I would love to find out more martieprice@gmail.com
Very difficult these days with so many people having children without marrying
Wes is an excellent keeper (despite his last game!) and seems like a really nice lad.
Hi Eddie , I don't know what it is about tracing wrestlers and their lives. In recent months tracking Bertie Topham and Bobo Matu has stretched me to the limit. Now you throw this one in. Wes Foderingham was born in 1991 in Hammersmith. Maiden name of mother given as Cropper. That's the first problem as there are no Foderingham/Cropper marriages listed ever.
Next Reginald Grant Foderingham dies in Stockport in 1998 with a year of birth given as 1915.
Picking up a Black Panther of Manchester as early as 1932 wrestling Harry Brooks at Blackpool Tower. Was he really wrestling at 17 or was he actually a bit older than we thought.
For Wes Foderingham to be The Panthers son then Grant must have fathered him at age 75 , so far more likely to be his grandson.
You might be able to tidy this up Eddie.
I have Foderingham marrying Marilla F Huggin in 1960. There is a child of that year Lorna , but dies soon after birth, then it seems no more children.
In 1975 Foderingham Marries Dorothy M Landis. Seems no children again. (Landis may have been a name from a previous marriage.)
What looks like first wife Marilla Foderingham , marries again in 1987.
So I am kind of left to wonder if Grant Foderingham fathered a son somewhere out of marriage who took the surname , and who is the father of Wes Foderingham.
The connection is based entirely on the fact that you say Grant told you that he was connected.
