This was 1964, just when the Dale Martin/Lincoln feud was at its height.
I still maintain this Hitler v Abbey bout is very significant but cannot pin down the whys and wherefores.
Let's explore Johnny Abbey. Who was he? Is this Johnny Dale of the pencil moustache and clipped pronunciation? Or maybe it is indeed Jack Dale. For some reason coming out of retirement to wrestle an old geezer he had worked with 25 - 30 years earlier. A bet? Just for fun?
But none of it makes sense on a Lincoln bill.
And then to say they are both newcomers - you couldn't then have two wrinklies turn up.
