That list of champions at the start looks like Joint Promotions champions.

Mancelli held the physical belt (The Blackfriars Ring Belt) in 1955 and was Southern Area Hwt Champ, even if he claimed British title, I don't think he ever was officially recognized by JP, their champ was still the same - Ernie Baldwin.
