Nice belt in Manchester's Imperial War Museum. Doug Clarks belt from when he beat Gerstmans. Even touted as a World Title Match. Although in the end I think they settled for Europe.
The answer Peter is that I don't know , but I think it must have done quite well because they had a second match at Fartown Stadium home of Hudderfield RL at that time. Fans got their moneys worth 6 x 10 minute round draw. Clarke won the return.

Mike Whiplash (Mike Gilbert) has the plates from Rocco's old World HMid belt glued onto a new piece of leather by 1992-2002 Champion Chic Cullen just before he vacated the belt.Mike won it in 2009 and last defended in 2012.I talked to him on FB in 2021, Mike said he was planning to give it back to All Star, I said better if he dropped it in the ring to a new young Champion.
He told me in late 2021 he was retired and just there to supply the ring at the first All Star show in Dudley after COVID but at the next show in 2022 he was wrestling again and in the big final match teaming with Little Legs.
Morell had to order new set of belts, first of all Ernie Baldwin kept his belt, when Billy Joyce won hwt title first time he didn't get Baldwin's Mount Evans Belt. He was given 'another' (that's a subject of a new thread) belt. Colbeck's Mount Evans Belt was still widely used by Morell, he renamed it, I believe now it was World Lightweight Championship (or may be Euro), Jim Breaks held it. I saw photos of him with it.
It was an alliance of the all the European promoters, and (I think) the brainchild of Arthur Green. I have a picture of them all, somewhere, stood outside a hotel in Paris or Germany.
Thank you! Story for another thread I’m sure but were they responsible for the European titles or were they just a Joint Promotions/individual wrestler invention…
Hack, Ernie Riley appeared in the same issue of The Wrestler. On the photo Mel Riss is wearing the 1909/10 Lord Lonsdale Belt (Holy Grail of British Wrestling), on another photo with Joyce and Ernie he already has normal Morell's Mountevans Belt.
Fair enough Ruslan, but to most fans the Mountevans belts they remember are the ones purchased by Norman Morrell. That is this one
Which brings me to a thought. No more, no less.
Remember the Morrell Mountevans belt photo of all the champions?
Ruslan spotted that Mel Riss was wearing the original belt.
I found the programme in use in the third week of May, 1961.
We have discovered that the Mid Heavyweight and Heavy Middleweight divisions were introduced in 1960.
As getting all the promoters together must have been something of a rarity, let alone the champions as well, I wonder if the photo was arranged to celebrate the delivery of the new Morrell belts in 1960? Maybe the last minute addition of Mid Heavyweight and Heavy Middleweight meant they were still two short. Ernie Riley wasn't there leaving them one short.
Pure speculation of course and may be wide of the mark.
When it comes to Mount Evans Belts, I care ONLY about the original, real ones. Not the so-called Morell's Mountevans Belts. My concern are the belts awarded to Alan Colbeck and Ernie Baldwin.
I seem to think that wrestler Steve Fury, who has posted on forums, has at least one of the belts, along with a ton of memorabilia from Joint Promotions. I am sure someone else on here could clarify.

In later years some of the belts looked as if they were bought at £1 shop
Any idea what the text said in the side plates?
Thanks Ost, almost an even split of belts between Yorkshire and Lancashire.
An update of champions as of Nov 1964, with photos of the titleholders (not all of them pictured with belts):

Seems like a good time to post this photo of Dennis Mitchell with a Mountevans belt (I believe it's Heavyweight):
Now, this is my personal favorite - Lord Mount Evans British Heavyweight Championship Silver Belt.
Ernie never passed it to anyone, he retired this belt, kept it.
This one is the MOUNTEVANS CHAMPIONSHIP BELT that I officially recognise!!

Other Mountevans belts are out of my interest.
I saw Ernie Riley's light heavyweight Morell/Mountevans Belt online. Here's the link to it:

I heard that Maxine's belt was stolen. I don't know which one.
Possibly sitting in a dusty cupboard forgotten or worse
