Possibly All Star(formerly Wrestling Enterprises) must have been one if not the biggest of them all, however,Orig Williams Promotion would be another contender.Your opinions please.
I used to watch Paul Lincoln promotions in the early 60s and most of his shows seemed to have been held on stages (Granada theatres seemed to show many of them). I used to go to the Hackney Empire (stage) and the Granada Edmonton (also on stage). I occasionally went to Leyton Baths where Paul Lincoln took over from Joint and that was in the centre. We all know about the Granada Tooting! However, All Star did seem to have many more promotions, but I remember that most were too far north from London, where I lived.
It's worth pointing out that if you went to two arenas not too far from each other, you'd see the same fights and outcomes. Very few fans took enough interest to go to more than one show in a week.
How many shows a year was Paul Lincoln putting on in 1963?
