For me it would be Pallo.McManus,Kendo,Daddy,Street,Bartelli,Kellett,Pye,Doctor Death and George Kidd in no particular order. Found it difficult because its easy to forget others who were great draws. However,I think it has to be from your own lifetime and experiences.I suppose it could also vary from which end of the country you watched wrestling.Your opinions please.

Bert Royal, Pat Roach, Steve Grey, Johnny Saint, Jimmy Breaks, Vic Faulkner, Kendo NagasakI, Count Bartelli, Les Kellet, Bob Kirkwood.
It's more about who to leave out! I have to put Billy Robinson as my number 1 because of his sheer skill as a heavyweight even though he wasn't always exciting and refused to go along with some more way out storylines! Marty Jones and Rollerball Rocco are on my list because every time they fought you knew it would set the crowd on fire. Kendo Nagasaki must go down because he actually believed in everything he was doing, with Mick McManus close behind for the way he could go from being a dastardly villain to an antiques dealer at the click of his fingers! Next must come Adrian Street for daring to portray a gay wrestler back then even though he wasn't gay when the term still meant happy! I must include Al Hayes for allowing me to clean his car in return for tickets and because he was also very good!
I have Les Kellet on my list because not every great wrestler was a great wrestler! Wrestling is also about entertainment and Les Kellet was a prime entertainer. I remember watching him against Leon Arras and it was hilarious from beginning to end - although there's only room for one out and out showman on a list like this!
My 9 and 10 made their names in the US after starting out over here. 9 is Tommy Billington aka Dynamite Kid. I remember seeing him at Croydon during a short tour back over here and he was just staggering to watch. But his non-stop flying style must have brought his devastating back injury forward. It was so sad to hear how he deteriorated. My 10 also made his name in the USA as the British Bulldog. Davey 'Boy' Smith could do anything in the ring and I got to know him reasonably well on his occasional trips back over here. Sadly he let himself down towards the end but as a wrestler, he was just brilliant.
I took the photo of him at a press call before the WWF's Summerslam in 1992 when it was held at Wembley Stadium and Davey took the Intercontinental title from Bret Hart in a brilliant bout held before 92,000 screaming fans in beautiful sunlight. Davey and Dynamite were better known as the British Bulldogs but were just as good in singles bouts. On Davey's left was Hacksaw Jim Duggan with the Ultimate Warrior on the right, unusually dressed in his street clothes. He had just eaten the biggest steak I had ever seen!!!
Every 5 or so years this list would change. Many people remember the 1980's on here.
My main years going to the halls were after getting my first car so 1970-1975.
I appreciate that after that time Rocco , Daddy , Haystacks Dynamite , Jones , Finlay and many more topped the bill.
Before that time we had lots of overseas stars to top the bill.
The era I talk about Bill Robinson and Bill Joyce had all but finished.
The only ones that I saw that never seemed to be support acts were
Kendo , Andy Robin , Kellett , Wall , Street , McManus and Pallo.
That's seven ,
Maxine , Saint and Royals and Breaks are nearly there but often only in support.
Was never attracted to Marino or Bartelli in this era , they were past their best.
Ian Campbell was a possible also for me maybe Wild Angus , maybe Gwyn Davies.
Controversially I can only really go with seven in that five years that really seemed to top the bill almost always.
LOL
what about Assirati
Don't worry Anglo they're on it too.
Unfair! The whole class should get it: what about Tom and Mike?
Yes Anglo and you are on detention!
So Powerlock gets Sir's approval.
Robinson, Breaks, Garfield, Clive Myers, Fit Finlay, Jon Cortez, Johnny Kincaid, Caswell Martin, Rex Strong, Billy Howes.
Powerlock is correct. The question is British wrestlers. That rules out Gordienko,Two Rivers,The Outlaw,Masambula,Starr,Guildon and one I'm guilty of Doctor Death. Therefore,I am excluding DD and putting Dazzler Joe Cornellius in his place. Some may have to rehash(except Powerlock).
I understood from the heading that it was British wrestlers not wrestlers who worked in Britain otherwise my top 10 would have been different. I included a tag team in my top ten so only made nine picks, so if we are being Liberal with selections I am adding a tenth selection with Mark Rocco making my top ten of eleven wrestlers.
Anyone who leaves out Kendo. Rocco and Adrian Street from a list like this can report to my office to collect their cards. Anyone who includes Big Daddy can expect to spend xmas sharing a prison cell with a 6'4 male weight lifter called Sharon.
Doctor Death, Les Kellet, Mick McManus, Jackie Pallo, Rikki Starr, Billy Two Rivers, Big Daddy, Kendo Nagasaki, Giant Haystacks and The Wildman of Borneo.
A rare shout for Billy Two Rivers ....
Jack Pye, Dominic Pye, Billy Robinson, Jackie Pallo, Mick McManus, Bert Royal, Les Kellet, Ricki Star, Billy Two Rivers, George Kidd.
Cheers
Kendo, Billy Robinson, Albert Wall, Adrian Street, Pallo, McManus, Royal Brothers, Big Daddy, Les Kellet
Gordienko, Robinson, Breaks, Garfield, Jon Guil Don, Clive Myers, Fit Finlay, Jon Cortez, Masambula, The Outlaw.
