I saw only once Tony Rowney billed as the ring gladiator at Belle Vue.Great physique,lots of wrestling ability and the best standing drop kick I'de seen.What a wrestler.In the heavyweights I thought Ray 'Thunder' Glendenning a very capable heavyweight. Your opinions please.

Do not agree that he did not get a push. He appeared regularly on TV for over ten years including in the main event of the afternoon. In 1975 he won the TV trophy broadcast on Cup Final Day and the very fact he was chosen to take part in the "Big Time" watched by many non fans was a push in itself.

I agree with John Naylor. Always a mystery to me that he was never allowed to reach his potential for some reason.

I thought John Naylor was brilliant but the northern promoters seemed to hold him back.
