MAL KING KONG KIRK was an Awesomely Powerful and Frightening Wrestler!!
I saw plenty of Live Early KIRK Bouts and he was so Intimidating-he made ME Feel
Nervous!!-and I wasn't Fighting him!!-Such was his Power that he often 'appeared' NOT
to be 'Selling' his Opponents Moves!-Walking straight out of really hard Postings and getting
straight back up after heavy Body Slams!-More than a bit 'disconcerting' for his Adversary
Methinks!!
I think most Fans would agree that he could easily have Beaten DADDY-using his 23 Stone
FLYING ELBOW DROP!!-but he was always 'obliged' to Lose in the BIG DADDY Circus!!
But even this late in his Career these 'Losses' were always by Pinfall or D.Q.!!
NEVER by Submission!
In all the times I watched KIRK Wrestle-I NEVER saw him SUBMIT!!
Did Anyone?-Who actually saw MAL Lose a Bout by 'Tapping Out'??-Or even Losing a Score
by Submitting??
MAIN MASK
Against Baron von Rasche in Bremen during the Grand Tournament in 1985
I also remember the ring moving when Mal Kirk was posted and he would walk back to the centre of the ring, staring at his opponent, as if it to say "I felt nothing"......
I saw Mal submit to a grapevine in a match with Kendo Nagasaki in the early 70s.
Mal Kirk lost a televised bout against World Champion Wayne Bridges 2 falls - 1. No submissions though. Also was pushed hard by Canadian powerhouse Rick Hunter in a televsed bout. I think Mal even defeated Otto Wanz in a European Final on one occasion.
I have seen Mal submit twice over to Nagasaki's "Rack".
Sold like a real pro.
Kendo had trailed to a Kirk upside down Bearhug
Venue was Bolton when Kirk was peak.
Have told the story of the ring moving when Kirk was posted.
