Tony Fury, who is listed in the A-Z of Wrestlers on this website, was also from Liverpool. Also, his grand-daughter Lisa Fury is a lady wrestler, who was trained in wrestling by Liverpool wrestlers Robbie Brookside and Frankie Sloan.
I suppose I just can't recall, in our era, seeing any wrestler billed from Liverpool.
No, let's not include Ellesemere Port. A different county.
Of everyone's offerings above it is of course The Liverpool Skinheads who have jogged my memory. Then I'm trying to remember where Kevin Conneely was billed from when I saw him...I thought Ireland but must be wrong.
Liverpool is certainly no Bradford, Brixton or Wigan in wrestling terms. I remember similarly years ago compiling a list of North London Wrestlers in a topic and we didn't get much past Elijah, Pallo Sr. and a dubious Rann.
Kevin Conneely was usually billed from Liverpool although I used to introduce him as being from "the war-torn streets of Belfast" which he failed to find amusing. In fact, for someone who portrayed such a comical character, there was little that he actually did find amusing! I recall that Joint usually billed him as being from Liverpool unless he was up against Roy Paul. Then Paul was billed as being from Liverpool and Conneely as being from Belfast.
I remember promoting him at The Civic Hall, Bollington, against Bob Bell. They travelled together from Ellesmere Port. I billed him as Ragnor The Viking. He was actually Dave Crosse. He made his TV debut as The North Man on a Relwyskow and Green show where he faced Dalibar (Gil) Singh. I believe Crabtree billed him as Ox Brody.
A legacy of where catch came from. It spread from Ashton, Oldham, Saddlworth , Bolton, Bury area before it even got to Wigan. Just never made it as far as Liverpool.
There will be some and not sure if you would want to include Ellesmere Port .
Ern Mack was an early one. Tommy the Demon maybe , (was he Tommy Mack)
The Golden hawk for sure , Johnny Palance was son of one of the Macks and Kevin Conneely , but to be fair Anglo , you make a good point.
Liverpool is probably more of a hotbed in the present day with at least three promotions regularly producing events
From the 1930's and possibly the first was The Golden Hawk. Norman Warton Johnson.
He was for sure born in Liverpool in 1901
As we’ve brought the Wirral Peninsula into the equation, wasn’t Monty Swann from that area?
They are certainly in surprisingly short supply. Maybe most became Irish?

But billed from Camden Town and a twenty-year DM career so my use of “dubious” is fair.
Yes born Doncaster 1934
Weren't Peter Rann's roots in Doncaster?
I'm not sure what I meant, Saxonwolf!

Brian Maxine and hi brother, Buddy Ward, both born in Liverpool
Ian 'Doc' Dean, Robbie Brookside's tag partner in the Liverpool Lads tag team.
Also, I think that Roy Paul, from the Notorious Skinheads tag team, was from Liverpool.
The younger guys on here will be shouting up Robbie Brookside of course.,
I once heard that the wrestler who wrestled using various names Ragnor The Viking / The North Man / Ox Brody was from Liverpool.
