Great stuff again MM, I love the variations in a Wrestler's location, from very specific, like Barnsley and Wigan, to a little bit more vague, "Lancs", to a very large area, "West Indies"!
One Great Reason while I Love these Old Posters-SAX!- The Write-Ups are more often
than not Cracking! MMmmm-Now I'm doubting that this 'BARBARELLA' was the Movie Girl!-Ha, Ha!-I've no clue either as to Who she really was?-We could ask HACK??
I have many good memories of "Jumping" Jim Moser. He wrestled for me at various venues where I promoted including The Parr Hall, Warrington, Halton British Legion and The Gala Baths, West Bromwich. He was known for having the highest dropkick in the game but, sadly, could hardly walk at the end of his days. He was bow-legged and, months before his death a couple of years ago, he was felled by an unpleasant girl who knocked on his door asking to use the toilet. When she got inside the house, she knocked him to the ground and stole his wallet. The thought of such a genuinely tough man being felled by a nasty young girl is truly upsetting.
On the reverse, however, he gave me many happy memories in the ring whether as a promoter matching him with "Bad Boy" Steve Young (later Skull Murphy) at the Parr Hall, Warrington, or as a punter years before watching him battle the likes of Johnny South at The Gaiety Theatre, Rhyl.
