My late uncle, who lived in Beckenham, used to go out and about with Alan Garfield to car shows; both always on the lookout for classic cars (even in those days!).

Many thanks. We spoke of Adrian and Linda yesterday, as we always do. They haven't met up since they came back to Wales. If Adrian does another London appearance/talk I will try to arrange that. They have kept in e-mail contact.

Bob is retired. He's recently had a significant back operation, but otherwise was fine and is well recovered now. We had a near three hour lunch and catch-up today as we do every couple of months. Bob's a very good friend and an all round great guy!

Had lunch with Bob and his wife, Jan, today. We meet up regularly.

Recently found Alfie Hayes' election results from Canonbury ward in Islington from 1968. Bill Bridges told me about going out canvassing together as Bill was also living then in Islington.

I also remember one Saturday live when it even went into a fourth bout, with Eddie Capelli. DD interrupted the football results to say that Capelli had won!
