1 Friday night [approx 1963] Jim took on Jackie Pallo with Tiny Carr as referee as bout 3 of 4 . Both wrestlers were well battered & exhausted by the end of that one. Cannot recall who won but I was second to Jackie that night & he said on going back to dressing room " That was worth three times the money" - folks paid to get into The Casino Rochester Kent. As far as I know they never wrestled each other again as the evening did not finish to almost 10.30. The last contest took less than 10 minutes!! RIP Jim

Strange no one mentions The Borg Twins Not sure what happened to them Iggy I think went back to Malta or maybe it was Tony, both high class fast & very watchable. One time I remember at Rochetser w s indvidual bouts with them & The Cortez bros John & Peter approx 1963/4

Jackie Pallo took on Iggy & Tony Borg as Casino Rochester approx 1965. Jackie lost weight that night. Don't recall the result but all the lads came out of dressiing rooms to watch!!

Used to see Spencer ride around Chiswick/Hammersmith in his red open top VW Beetle, always with no shirt on.. Used to wave at us. Later saw him wrestle lots of times in Kent. Always good clean contests. 1 great one was against Ray Fury [Ron Wiltshire] which was amazing at that time approx 1964. .Recall 1 with Les Kellet in Casino Rochester which had all the usual elements of Kellet but Les had respect for Spencer. It was a 40 min draw. Both were exhausted RIP Great Man

The place has been totally refurbished, looks great now. According to Management/Council last promoter [from Rotherham area ??] pre refurbishment [2019] "lost money as crowd was low". .

I recall an amazing strength but very sporting contest with Georges with Jo Zaranoff [approx 1963] at Casino Rochester one Friday night - went full hour draw 1 submission each as main event. The final contest was Danny Lynch & Spencer Churchill lasted 10 mins still finished at 10.30 normally finished by 10. Sammy King MC was beside himself as Dale Martin had to pay extra for hall hire.

Saw George in early - mid 60's Melwyn Riss Bernard Murray & Jon Cortez. Brilliant onthe mat skills [no rough stuff] but as other stated he went on too long. I believe he was totally double jointed

An excellent wrestler lived in Camberwell SE London. I believe he was a school teacher at one point so only SE UK exposure. Lost contact with him approx 1970.
