Thanks Anglo for your kind words about my dad, as you say he was a lovely man. I worked as their clerk at the Point-to-Point races from about the age of 13, how I miss those days. Unfortunately I never met Tommy KiKi or know much about him, I'll ask my mum when I speak to her tomorrow. Thanks Ron that's interesting to see and that he promoted it too. Yes he was in quite a few films in the 1950's so was probably off filming somewhere. In late 50's and early 60's he did some more stunt in work in some big productions including Ben Hur, The Guns of Navarone ( where he doubled for Gregory Peck in the Cliff dive scene ) & Cleopatra so maybe he retired from the ring then. I also understand that he fought down in Swaziland & South Africa. My mum seems to think he might have fought the great Bert Assirati down there. Thanks again for posting this it's really interesting to see how popular he was.

@adrianpollard.shangri-la Wow thanks Adrian! My stepdad wasn't a very nice man. Interesting that he was wrestling quite a bit during the war, he was PTA Instructor for the RAF at Grangemouth in Scotland so I'd love to know if he told them what he was doing on his down time.

That’s so kind of you Adrian. My dad had a scrapbook of all his wrestling memorabilia which he leant me to take to school to show in class but my stepdad found it and destroyed it. My sister still has his wrestling gown, I’ll try and get a picture of it when I can. Thanks again I look forward to seeing what you post

What an amazing memento to have Adrian. I'm Jules Ki-Ki's youngest son, unfortunately I never got to see him wrestle as he was 60 years old when I was born, so he had finished wrestling and was just doing stunt work in films. Thanks for the nice words you said about him he was a gentleman and a great dad, my hero! As a youngster I used to go with him and his brother ( Solly ) to the Point-to-Point races so maybe I saw you there. I would love to have seen him wrestle as I understand he was a good showman and also pretty fast around the ring when he was younger, I don't suppose there is anywhere I can find any footage of him wrestling?
