The Engelmann Arena in vienna was a open air venue. It was builed in 1909 in vienna hernals (Jörgerstrasse) the 17th district by the Oberbaurat Ing. Eduard Engelmann. A lot of wrestling events took place there before the war. Also from time to ttime after WWII. In 49 the WEV (organisator of the heumarkt tournaments) owend a part of the arena. The other part was held by Christa Schäfer-Engelmann. The last tournment I know took place in 1955 promoted by Felix Kerschitz. Winner was Dennis Mitchell.
By the way this event was postponed due heavy rain. Finally it took place two days later. Only the match Mooney vs Cadine was changed due injury. Koch was the new opponent. The tour finished sept. first. I wonder if they had a poster for every day.
A splendid poster Main Mask. Yes that word holocaust is now synonymous with that one horrific period of history. A more innocent usage on that poster.

Great stuff again MM. 1937 is about a decade before Freestyle wrestling was a regular thing in that part of the world, Greco Roman was still preferred. I think you will find that poster is from Vienna, Austria. Really cool to see it though. And New Brighton is always of interest. Shame they scrapped that tower.
I suppose in 1938 you could still get away with calling an event Holocaust
