Yes Franklin was the Steve Veidor of his day. In his case 1931 to 1935 and it was all over.
His main job was to sell to Oakeley when he set himself up to be an alternative champ to Doug Clark.
Franklin was known as the Elstree Adonis.
I don't think he did anything other than get that title pinned on him for advertising purposes.
