Aces was the Altrinham Charities Entertainment Society established in 1940 to raise money for local charities such as Children's homes etc during the war.

In 1971 the William Hill organisation bought Hurst Park (and consequently Dale Martin and Viewsport), shortly after which William Hill became part of the Sears Holdings.
Like all the other component parts of Joint Promotions, except for Relwyskow and Green Promotions, Wryton and Best Wryton Promotions were also absorbed by William Hill, and eventually Norman Morrell and Globe (Ted Beresford).
