Most Wrestling Matches we All watched Live or on T.V. usually had a 'Winner' and a
'Loser' didn't they? Now and again one Wrestler-often the Villain-would gain an early Score
only for the Opponent-often the Blue Eye-to 'manage' to find the Equaliser in the Last Round
-9/10 this was how the Script panned out for Matches ending in a Draw!
2-0 Wins were much more common in the 1950's!
But if Bouts were actually 'Real'-by the Law of Averages many more should have ended
with NEITHER Wrestler managing to get either a Fall or a Submission-
In Reality this was an 'unbelievable' Rarity!-Did Promoters think Punters would feel
'cheated' if too many Bouts had No Score Draws?-Would it have stopped them from
building the 'Story Lines'?- In my Years of Attending Live Shows I can only recall a small
handful of such Bouts!-And I've seen the odd few on T.V.!
Can Anyone remember seeing such No-Score Draws?-What about your Era BERNARD?
Did YOU see many of such Bouts/-Did you see ANY?

No winning falls, submissions or knockouts.
In doing some research on the Itv wrestling site I came across a wrestling bill screened on 2/3/68 where none of the 4 televised bouts ended with a fall, submissions or a KO. Has anyone else been to the wrestling where all the bouts ended without a winning Fall, Submission or a KO.
The tag match between (The Royals and the Yorkshire Terriers) ended 0-0
Geoff Portz v John Cox ended 1-1
Alan Dennison v John Cox (The result was given to Dennison after RSF)
Chic Purvey v Ted Heath ended with both wrestlers being disqualified.

Yes I knew what you were getting at Main Mask. And yes Powerlock's reasoning is very logical. I don't agree though that 2-0 results would lessen the credibility of promoters. It would sure have added to the credibility of the matches.
But the question was about nil falls and submissions. The answer is still no.
Oh yes!
The famous 0-0 over 40 minutes at the Royal Albert Hall: Bruno Elrington and Kendo Nagasaki.
No, I can't remember a 0-0 draw.
I think that although the crowd might enjoy aspects of the wrestling, they would feel cheated if no result as above.
The promoters would certainly arrange to have some highs and lows in the shape of falls, k.o's or disqualifications somewhere. Just to excite the paying public more.
Terry Rudge vs Ray Steele. The bout consisted mainly of strength holds.
I think I have seen the odd one , but for the life of me I cannot remember an example.
Wonder if Robinson and Gordienko did it.
Over in the North America didn't Brett Hart and Shawn Michaels do an hour.
If you look on Wrestlingdata.com Billy Robinson had loads of time limit draws , but it is not clear if any were no score. Some could have been one score only bouts.
the promoters were worried that bouts with no pins or submissions would be classed as dull or boring. also wins by 2 clear falls would be classed as one sided when people saw the results even though they did happen. Making the decision by the odd pin or submission also made the promoters look good as bouts would be perceived to be evenly matched, with hindsight we were all pretty naive to fall for it.
I don't recall any no score draws. Like you Main Mask I'm surprised at the number of 2-0 results not just in the 50s but in the 1930s and 1940s. Very odd, as I would have thought that 2-0 wins and 0-0 draws would make wrestling more credible.
