A very powerful man who had a great sense of homour as well. I remember my dad watching that famous bout with the Dynamite Kid and remember him protesting "Why have they put this kid against this monster? Dennison will absolutely pulverize him". We waited for Dennison to lose his temper, but it never happened, and from then on Dennison became a face. Always loved watching him in action. RIP.
The late great Strongman Alan Dennison against Dynamite Kid at Lincoln Yorkshire in the summer of 1976 on ITV World of Sport and referee Brian Crabtree stopped the contest when Dynamite Kid caught the top rope and Dennison take the microphone from MC Neil Sowden and the crowds cheered him from the heel to the blue eye and the commentator Kent Walton.

A 1960 picture of Dennison stood with Conroy with a fatherly arm round him. Many of the wrestlers in Robes. Still had his hair.
