Alan worked best as a villain the wild eyes the stance the stare,he had it go perfection.Like all great villains he didn't actually have to do much to create heat.A truely lovely guy out the ring helpful patient and a good guy.ill even forgive the black eye from a heel of the hand at i think Nottingham, He always worked by the maxim don't short change your paymasters ie the fans.Funny how many bad lads were the nicest of the lot.Along with Dennis Mitchell he was revered in Bradford.
And Somewhere Along The DAMASCUS ROAD-He Grew a BLACK Moustache to Make
himself Look EVEN MORE Villainous!
So did 'IRON MAN' STEVE LOGAN-but his Was Somewhat 'Superfluous' as He Already
LOOKED a Bad Dude!!

Steve Logan mk1 with a moustache looked like a spivvy used car salesman.. Bert Royal also had a tache at one point and looked like an army officer out of Monty Python.
(Am having visions of Steve Logan mk2 with a tache during his perm phase, looking like a junior version of Harry Enfield's "Scousers" character.)
Dennison was at his best as a dirty wrestler, which was most of his career. It just didn't ring true when he turned into a good guy. These identity changes of wrestlers rarely worked. Dennison had spent years convincing us that he was up to no good. So, just what could have been the Damascus Road experience that made his personality change. Unbelievable..
Alan Dennison was great as a Heel. He would lose his temper quickly, the strap would come down on his leotard and then it was trouble time for his opponent. Later on he mellowed into a Blue Eye and was a favourite with the fans. Great wrestler.
Very much so and it is in that mode I recall many of his live appearances. He would display bouts of uncontrollable anger towards both opponent and audience; probably a good act but I wouldn't have wanted to put it to the test!
Outside of the ring he was normally quite amusing and good natured.
I was most surprised to see him a few years later as a good guy refusing the decision over a young wrestler who had injured himself and similar instances.
anyone know dates when alan dennison wrestled mike bennett in the 1960s , and are there any photos on the internet of their bout

The man who had his soul saved by Tommy Billington. 😁😁😁
Dennison with a moustache is a horrific thought. Must have been one of those middle aged men moments.

He was a heel for most of his career in both singles and tag matches, he turned face relatively late in his career.
