Hi , I’m Alf Kent’s (wrestler in the 1950’s) granddaughter. He sadly passed away when his son (my father) was very young. My grandmother (his wife at the time) has told us many amazing memories but I was wondering if anyone had any information on him or any photos that we have not seen ! Thank you :)

Hello bk-t, thanks for posting. I would like to add more but Ron is doing a great job and the master of these things. I started going to the wrestling in 1965. By then Alf had run down his wrestling commitments though was still occasionally around in the early 1960s. What I can tell you is that when I started going to the wrestling he was still remembered and talked about as a tough old timer,so that tellsyou something.
You mention many memories. Do share them. That's what we are here for and the Wrestling Heritage website is all about keeping the memories alive. We'd alllike to see Alf's Wrestling Heritage tribute extended so any information or memories you can share will help us to do just that.
Above a few more bills of Alf wrestling and I am given to believe he retired due to a mild heart attack , but stayed in the business as a Flamboyant and entertaining ref.
Some adverts where Alf was the ref and the final one mentioning The Alf Kent Trophy
Can't put my hands on a picture , but one particular achievement is that Alf Kent trained Bomber Pat Roach.
I have found you some newspaper bills from 1951. I will find some more tomorrow.
Welcome to Wrestling Heritage and a Merry Christmas.
