I agree with Hack (sorry, Anglo), I recall Eddie Rose saying he wrestled on the Manchester night club scene and all the girls came from a certain promoter (I think Harold Weller) and I am sure Graham Brook said the same thing.
Ron Farrer (Ace Promotions) had his wife as Champion (Sue Brittain) and I think all of the girls on their bills were trained by them and worked for them exclusively, mainly (from memory) in working men's clubs.

I very much doubt that. In the mid to late 1960s there were only a handful of female wrestlers in the north it wouldn't take much matchmaking and no doubt females were booked just like male wrestlers. In the 1960s she hadn't met Brian Dixon, he was running his fan clubs and seconding at Liverpool.
By the 1970s there were more females due to the training and promoting by the likes of Jack Cassidy, Chunky Hayes, Harold Weller, Bobby Barron, Ron Farrar. I can't see any of them handing over any control to Mitzi. I watched summer seasons of Bobby Barron shows in Blackpool, every show had a female match, but I didn't see Mitzi once. In fact I never saw Mitzi wrestle, the closest being a show in Chorley (Cape Promotions) which was cancelled by the council.
She was certainly the biggest name in female wrestling, largely due to Brian, and as a respected member of the community might well have had some clout but to think she controlled every match and every booking must be way off the mark.
When Brian became a greater force in the 1980s I can see her having more influence then, but even at that time the other big independent player, Orig Williams, had his own team of females and Mitzi would have no control over his bookings.
In the early years of All Star many of the venues used did not allow women wrestling it was considered degenerate
I wonder just how involved Mitzi was in the promoting all those years ago? I would imagine that she just about commanded and controlled the entire women's wrestling scene - every match and every booking. Which we of course didn't realise then.
Very good. What is the name of the promoter, please?
