Had a query from a friend -- not found any trace of the guy myself:
A woman who goes to my wife's crochet group has asked me if I could find out anything about her Dad who she says was a wrestler by the name of Barry Greenhill (I believe she said Barry) in the 1960s ish era. She thinks he went by the name of The Great Crescendo and was very very tall (as is she), she claims he was over 7ft. Now whether or not that's true I don't know but she herself is about 6'4 so I'd say his height is likely to be notable.
Does that ring a bell for anyone?

I would have thought that at least one of us on here would remember a seven footer, if not us then one of the wrestlers like Dale Storm or Eddie Rose?
HackGood grief. Could this be someone I've been searching for over the last forty odd years? Tiny Greenhill was featured on a BBC programme about fairground wrestlers in the late 1960s. Ray Glendenning was also on. I believe he was trained by Jim Hussey Please find out if this is my man.
JNListerI've let my friend know and passed on the WH address, Hack. He's going to check with her in the next couple of days. It'll certainly be a nice change to have somebody claim to be or know an old wrestler like this and it be true!

I couldn't have imagined the name Tiny Greenhill could I? So he definitely existed, but I know no more than that. Other to say that I was once told it was Roy Bull Davis who trained him, not Jim Hussey as I mistakenly said earlier.
sparkys6887Just looking through old post's and wondering what the outcome was???

Hi Kirsty
I have good information that I believe relates to your father and night club scene in Leeds from the 1960s.

Hello Fiona. Well look where your question got us. And I had fun getting there. Thanks for the additional information. Your dad's tribute page can be updated at any time so if there's anything more to add in the future just let us know.
Hi I'm also Barry's daughter it was me that asked the original question. Dad passed way in a small village called Holne in Devon and that's where he was laid to rest. Thankyou to you all for your information I've been reading all to my youngest daughter who has just turned 11 she is obsessed with wrestling and wants to be one when she's older.
Thankyou
Fiona
Barry's death was registered in Teignbridge, Devon, so either could be correct. Maybe Becky could tell us.
Here's your man ...
Tiny Greenhill
Apart from the write up in another part of the site (https://www.wrestlingheritage.co.uk/tiny-greenhill )
I can add another photo of Barry Greenhill at 18. (1962) Newspaper article stated that he was six feet eight inches at the time.
Unfortunately Barry did a couple of stints in prison in 1965 and 1970 which suggests that maybe wrestling was a way of earning some money later.
During this period he was living in Bristol although the offences look to have been in Devon.
Born in Essex in 1944
Thank you Hack for you quick response .i would love to see a photo of him. Sadly dad died young age 52yrs. he was a large person 7:4 ft and his heart gave up. He spoke fondly of his wrestling days . He moved to Suffolk for a while but ended back in Devon and that is where he lies today. I live in Suffolk still and don’t get much chance to visit him.
Welcome randmwarren. I don't think we got very far uncovering your dad's past. I remember seeing him on the BBC programme in the 1960s when he was working on a fairground. Many wrestlers worked the fairgrounds, including big names like Pat Roach and Johnny Kincaid. I'm pretty sure Eddie Rose knew him too.
Tiny Greenhill was my dad . It would be great to find out about his wrestling days. I look forward to hearing back from you all. Regards Becky
