Hack thanks. The belt in the center was the 1920s Lancashire County Amateur Wrestling Assn champion challenge belt. Such belts were held by the amateur legends of Lancashire catch wrestling of the glorious era LCAWA represented namely Harry Pennington, Joe Reid, both of Leigh, Lancs Jimmy Crompton, Ted Weakes, and Johnny Nelson all from Bolton, Lancs, Harold Angus of Doncaster, Yorks (a Yorkshire man who was native of Wigan, Lancs, at some point those belts were used for the Northern Area amateur champs) and my favorite Geo Gregory of Bolton, Lancs who held it as the last in existence heavyweight catch-as-catch-can champ wrestler of Lancashire. The look and appearance of this trophy became soon a symbol of legacy in catch wrestling that is why when in the early 1930s a Yorkshire silversmith received an order for the worlds champion wrestler belt for Clark, he didn't think twice and used this recognizable design for his trophy.
Yes okay pictures Ruslan. I see the similarity. Tell us more.
