Liverpool Stadium was around 5,000 I believe. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. Way back before WOS there was the Olympia (London, not Bradford) and that was 6,000 cap.
Cardiff, Liverpool, Newcastle, Granby Halls in Leicester were all big but getting capacity is probably difficult. Especially capacity for 50 years ago. Someone could try Googling!
Iconic, Royal Albert Hall? Though I'm not sure if it strictly appeared on World of Sport as opposed to ITV wrestling. Would it have been the biggest too?
they had pro wrestling championship matches at Crystal Palace, London, when it was still around, I don't know its capacity though.
That's the one Mac, thanks.
The venue in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, can't remember the name.
Was the Empire Pool Wembley used for wrestling, if so that could well be the largest venue
