Salford's Bill Connor never gets a mention. He wasn't around long by wrestling standards, probably about ten years at the most, but he always gave a good performance. I've no idea how old he was but didn't seem in the first flush of youth in the late 1960s; a well worn face I would say. Well worn but often with a grin. He was on the tele a few times against both Royals and Alan Wood. I've no idea if he is still with us. have heard nothing about him since his wrestling days. Strange how some are remembered so often but some don't get a mention. Anyone else remember him? Let's hear it for Bill.

Bill was skilled to a degree he couldn't use in most bouts,he amateur class was evident, was adept at ensuring others got the heat accolades .nice guy I can remember his snowy river memories to this day.always a bit heavy on the arm levers but great to go in with. Oh and a Salfordian when we had Lancashire accents
