A few months ago I found a fascinating feature on the WH site showing images of posters advertising promotions down the years at various venues, including Bedford, where I used to cover the shows for the local paper In the early Sixties. Can’t locate it now. Does anyone know if it is still on the site and, if so, where?

Use the Gallery tab to find more like it, especially the thousands by Ron Historyo.

Thanks Riot Squad, but I’ve checked that out and it’s not the same. The feature I saw had images of Bedford bills at least from the 1940’s, including the Ashburnham Road Drill Hall as well as the traditional Corn Exchange. Some great stuff on this website ... if only you can find it!
Not sure whether Ruslan has seen Number 12 in the listing? Another tournament belt to explore.
I think his mate Bill Stickers got into a bit of bother as well.
As far as I can remember Bill Posters was prosecuted
What a great article, not sure i've read that one before. A couple of poster designs I've not seen before either. I think I have a couple of contenders for that list these days.
