I would like to know when Robinson's last UK match was before he set off on his travels?
We know he popped back in the seventies and wrestled Lee Bronson on tv.
Usually when they leave they start dropping results before they go. Al Hayes dropped his belt to Bruno the night before he left.
In Robinson's case, as The Wrestler informed us with great exasperation, Robinson left on a short tour, but kept extending it into what became a near permanent absence. In this way he may not have started losing.
Recently we discussed Zebra Kid's long losing streak before he left. It seems to be a rite of passage, and also a sign of professionalism. McManus did the noble thing plenty of times.
I believe it was in 1968 some time. I don't think there are any 1969 Robinson appearances, but I could be wrong. Maybe Mrs Robinson in the 1968 film had something to do with it .....

Last one I can see is a 2-0 win over Steve Veidor at Sheffield, October 30, 1968
As a believer in those days I was right narked to see Veidor in the vacant title match, which should have been Wall v Davies.
Having seen this more than fifty years later I'm even more narked.
Fine clip on You Tube of Billy Robinson training young wrestlers in Wigan. There is a close up of a very young Marty Jones who of course trains young wrestlers today.A demonsration of expertise passing from one generation to the next
Oh, thanks The Ost. 30th October it must be.
One rather obious point we haven't mentioned: can Warrior Nigel be accused of copying Masambula, who used to have a grass outfit in the fifties?

I'm not surprised to see Nigel the Warrior at Liverpool. He seemed to continue using the name at the Stadium long after everywhere else.
Probably MM , I can't remember where we pinned it. Maybe Best was not in the Loop
Great stuff, Ron, thank you.
I too am surprised, Main Mask, as I remember seeing Honey Boy Zimba six months before that, in Tooting. It was a very long late show which he closed in tag with Lenny Hurst.
This thread will mutate from last Billy Robinson sighting to last Warrior Nigel!
I find Billy fighting Geoff Portz Monday 28th October at Hull 1968 and by 4th November he was in Japan against Gordienko. (WD.Com)
This is the last one I have and from there we can maybe browse Ray's index
