Hack, it appears to me that in the 50s they still didn't have nationals in the Greco-Roman style, instead the only officially recognized styles of wrestling were Freestyle and Cumbrian Back-Hold. Am I getting it right? Cornish was kind of pro wrestling since the winners received money prizes, they still do I think. Says 300 pounds in cash.
This is exactly what 1800s pro wrestling was about - amateur in its nature yet with the prizemoney for the winner. I am talking about such English folk styles of wrestling as Cumbrian Back-Hold and Cornish-Devon Jackets catch-hold style.
I wouldn't know Ruslan. I haven't taken much interest in the amateurs.
