Very sad news indeed. Great wrestler and seemed a really decent bloke too. Shame we didn't see more of him on British television. Thoughts are with Rick's family. Great collection of wrestling bills there Ron.
RIP Rick Hunter, he made it onto our TV screens three times in 1981, and spent around 3 months here. Started wrestling in 1957, from what I can see. Like many of the "Cowboys", he was actually Canadian. He was occasionally a tag team partner with our own Johnny Eagles, in the Pacific Northwest territory.
Matches against Bridges and Kirk are both on the Heritage tribute.
Excellent match versus Mal Kirk still on You Tube
Ricky was also in the WWF in the 1980s and a lot of his matches are on YouTube, as is his DQ win over Mal Kirk over here. R.I.P. Ricky Hunter.
Here he is
R.I.P. Rick Hunter you were a goodun.
