Just resurrecting this old thread, because I just saw an article about Dino Bravo (the original), and as I am always interested in where "our boys" show up, overseas, I was delighted to see this:-
His first match was in Windsor, against, Jack Pye. “He was an oldtimer at that time,” Bravo recalled, adding that he was victorious. “Of course, all the Italians in Windsor came out to see it!”
That was Windsor, Ontario, in Canada, so our boy, Jack, was enjoying a working holiday, over there, it seems.
Dino Bravo eventually married and went into the concrete business, with his uncle. It seems he eventually bought his uncle out, grew the business into a multi million dollar operation, and then, in turn, passed it on to his son, Paul, and retired.
Dino's "brother" Dominic was better known as Dominic DeNucci
Do I want to get involved with this?
They were both commonly billed as Dino Bravo.
The second one (Adolfo Bresciano) was executed while he was sitting in a chair at his home watching TV. It was rumoured he was involved in cigarette smuggling.
Did the WWF version ever wrestle as "Nino"?, I only ever knew of him as "Dino", both from Canada I think. It wasn't a drive by shooting, his wife found him shot dead at home.
