In recent years we've come across a few of these 1963 posters of Dr Death appearing on Morrell shows.
Did Morrell have a regular Dr Death? A copy of the Paul Lincoln original. In 1963 it would not have been Lincoln.
Who could it have been. Maybe someone out there knows, or has a clue. My wild guess, and it is a wild one with no basis whatsoever is Norman Berry, Morrell's buddy who had flitted to the independents in 1958 but was back working with Joint by 1963. Norman was mostly known for his backroom publicity work, but was known to have the occasional venture into action.
Who was this Dr Death?

Reread post and it confused even me, the guy I believe to be the good Dr was a family member of this promotion
It wasn't Johnny Foley for sure, but Ron I think you mentioned a promotion with links to Wryton or even a predessor, well I'm doing a bit of digging and I'll confirm later but Morells good Dr had his origins in Atherton and was a mate of John's.Berry wasn't in a condition to wrestle on a regular basis at this time plus by this time he was involved with Max Crabtree.
I believe John Foley appeared in the bonnet as The Katt
Very strange that Morrell did it at this time. Others were doing the copycat such as Sean O'Shea's shows , but on Joint this is a mystery. Could it be John Owens who thought this one up.
I will give you another wild guess.
Someone from the same stable as Ernie Riley......John Foley. !!!!
