It is often Mooted that the Original DOCTOR DEATH didn't extend his Rampage too far
from the SOUTH!!
However rarely and on the odd occasion he did venture further afield and in OCTOBER
1963-We find him taking on NORMAN WALSH at BRADFORD'S ST.GEORGES HALL!!
On the same Bill we find JOE CORNELIUS taking on ALBERT 'ROCKY' WALL!!
I wonder if they Travelled up Together??
Not content with just Stomping into Yorkshire- We next find the GOOD DOCTOR
Invading SCOTLAND!!-to take on ERNIE RILEY-British Light-Heavyweight Champion
at the time-at the Iconic CAIRD HALL in DUNDEE one week after his BRADFORD
Debacle!!So his sallies North were against Quality Opposition-but still he didn't lose his MASK on his Trip away-week from LONDON!
Posters/Programmes to follow!!
MAIN MASK
If you want a genuine Doctor Death in the North , Lincoln firstly appeared for Bill Benny and then took over putting shows on at Manchester Free Trade Hall.
Here is a 1964 example and more in the same gallery.

On the October 29th show in Dundee, Riley beat Barry Douglas.
On the bill for Bradford, there are ticks against one wrestler in each bout.I presume that these indicate the winner of that bout.
If Norman Walsh beat that version of Dr Death, why wasn't he unmasked?
Also in 1963 why was it a Morrell bill and not Joint?
Judging by the little ticks, it looks like Dr Death lost to Norman.
I agree, no way was this Paul Lincoln. He couldn't leave his Empire to appear twice within 8 days in the north. And he wouldn't have crossed over.
Looks like Morrell was as bad as any of them at copying.
Just makes you realise how clever Nagasaki was in having his elaborate kit, though even Kung Fu got copied to death with his. Nagasaki's missing finger was the making of him. Inimitable.
Could have been Ted, but then it could have been anyone. Of most interest is why Morrell would be giving any status at all to an opposition masked man. Unless he got beaten of course.
Anglo Italian will now turn up and tell us this wouldn't happen on Dale Martin.
Annoyingly, he'll be right.
I think Ted Betley was Doctor Death in the north in those days.
Buddy Ward was another northern Doctor Death.
I added one of these handbills once before, a Dr Death on a Morrell bill. I don't believe it. I cannot see that Paul Lincoln would have worked for Morrell in 1963, the time he was leading his promotional war against Joint Promotions. Would Morrell have wanted to employ someone whose aim was to destroy his business. Someone else was under that mask. Who was it?
