A number of posts online in the past half hour so stating that the Dynamite Kid Tom Billington has died. Always an innovative and exciting wrestler who made an impact all over the world. R. I. P. Tom
I would argue that Dynamite Kid was one of our best, and most influential, exports around the world. Very rarely seen in a bad light, very rarely in a bad match, and had the perfect blend of wrestling styles.

Evidently when the bulldogs were with New Japan Vince asked dynamite when he was coming back, dynamite embarrassed him in front of other wrestlers. Vince supposedly didn't like him outside the ring. I still wouldn't be surprised to see the bulldogs in the hall of fame in a year or two
One unusual note is that this has been barely acknowledged on WWE TV. Customarily, there has been, at the very least, a graphic at the start of the Raw and/or Smackdown shows in such circumstances. There's also been no mention whatsoever of the passing of Larry "The Axe" Hennig, father of Curt "Mr Perfect" Hennig and grandfather of current star Joe "Curtis Axel" Hennig.
I've just got back from a gig and I'm still processing this. I suppose we knew it was coming but it is still a shock. Tommy sent me an autographed copy of his autobiography and a framed photograph, also signed. He was the greatest and most influential wrestler from the U.K. that took his talents elsewhere. Tommy was much revered and respected in Japan, Canada, Nigeria, the U.S.A. and at home. Tommy will retain legendary status; a superb wrestler and entertainer. R.I.P. Tommy. You will be sorely missed by everyone who knows their wrestling.
Like Rocco, i thought he was way ahead of his time and tried stuff that required imense strngth and technique. I remember seeing him for the first time on WWF and was shcoked at how much he had bulked up. I think his best matches were here in the u.k and in Japan where he worked a far more intense style. His book was a warts and all reveal and it was saddening to see that he had burnt his bridges with so many.
Dynamite was one of many to get me hooked on wrestling and it is a sad loss.
I started watching wrestling in the summer of 1977 and the Dynamite Kid was one of the first wrestlers I saw and I could not believe how athletic he was. His bouts with Mark Rocco and Marty Jones are some of the best bouts I ever saw on World of Sport and I love watching his bouts in Japan with Tiger Mask and in the WWF as one of the British Bulldogs. I think he was probably the best British wrestler ever. RIP Tommy.
He was such an exciting wrestler when he first appeared on the scene, I managed to catch him in his first couple of years before my interest in wrestling drained slowly away. Always sad to hear of another death, but the long tragic physical decline of such a great athlete makes it especially so.

I'm surprised to see so few comments, possibly because of so much recent forum activity, hence zapping it back up.
