Hi MM. No I never saw Norman fight Masambula.

At the time that i saw Masambula, he was a lot lighter than a mid heavyweight, and as Morrell was pushing Masambula and Norman was a top local favourite. this wouldn't have happened in Newcastle at that time.

I had never seen Francis Sullivan matched against Dai Sullivan before and now twice on this thread!!

Talking to a guy who claimed to be a bit of an authority, aren't they/we all, many years ago who claimed that the two Sullivan regularly tagged together but I have never found evidence to confirm this. Can anyone out there help?

As a follow on to the above post, I saw Jim Hussey at Newcastle and he had completely changed his style.

He had started to walking round the ring and then turning in through 90 degrees to face his opponent, every time.

I had never seen Jim do this before and asked Norman Walsh what this was all about.

Norman said that Jim was copying Baron Gardenia (see above poster).

I never saw the Baron, so I will have to wait to see if anyone can confirm that this was the Baron's style.
