One of our esteemed members posted the pic of this guy. Here he is, named in the accompanying (1947) article. Neither he nor the other guy mentioned are in the A-Z. Did they get any way close in 1947 to a World Title Tournament?

Well the wrestlers had to come from somewhere
Well the poster says that the show was promoted by British Ring Sports.
ON 15th February, 2019 you told y=us Ruslan "Francis C. Price of Birmingham (born 1902) in 1947 established company called British Ring Sports Ltd. for the purpose of running boxing and wrestling championship matches in London. He was promoter and organizer of the World Hwt Wrestling Championship Tourney at Harringay Arena."
You did the research and I don't doubt you Ruslan.
The poster says that it was in conjunction with Oakeley. Well, he had nothing to do with the British Wrestling Board of Control so this seem possible, if not certain as that is what is on the poster.
Just to muddy up the waters a bit more the Sunday paper The People said on 19th January that the promoter of the show was Ronnie Green who was manager of the Wimbledon speedway team.
it was a short-lived attempt. No it was not Oakleley's title. 100% independent I researched it.
We can safely discount £2000.00 prize money as not authentic
The preview itself isn't fake news. Harold isn't in the A-Z because we can't find him actually appearing in Britain.
He has featured in the forum
He did not appear in the Harringay tournament but Main Mask provided a poster which showed he was planned to appear
According to Ray Plunkett's lists the actual show was
