This weekend's newsletter includes an anniversary of wrestling promoter Frank Price in 1946. At the time he was said to be 44 years old.
A couple of our members have talked about going to Frank Price's shows in the early 1960s. Now it's quite feasible a man who was then about 60 would be a promoter at that time. But occasionally Frank Price wrestled on the bills. Even by wrestling standards that's going it, but not impossible.
So. Was the 1946 promoter the same Frank Price? Was he the father of Frank Price the wrestler. Were Frank Price the wrestler and 1960s promoter one and the same?
Anyone know?
Seems pretty certain the two Franks were not one and the same. Which one was the 1960s promoter I wonder.
The guy in the picture looks too young to have been a 1940's promoter.
The 1940's guy was Frank C Price , but even he is a bit elusive.
