Frank's funeral yesterday had a good turnout of more than 120. Frank was wrestling mad right up to the end. The main focus at the funeral was on his wrestling career with a display of memorabilia.
So sorry to hear this bad news; Frank was a fixture at St James' Hall during my time either as a wrestler, usually participating in the opening bout of the night, or just as an observer watching the action from some vantage point within the Hall. Considering the attraction of St James' there were hardy any wrestlers from the North East at that time which certainly set Frank apart. RIP.
Sad news. Frank had been ill for a short time. He and his wife came to the Blackpool Reunion and were a lovely couple. Frank was proud of his wrestling career and yet very humble. I asked him about highlights and his reply was "Just being there with the lads."

Note the tribute to Frank's friend Dicky Swales.
Thanks to Jim McCormack for the photos.
My condolences to Frank’s family and friend. RIP
