This list arises from James' and Main Mask's nominations of Monsieur Montréal and Klondike Kate elsewhere. I have added a couple but I believe this will be tough. It's the wrestlers' principal ring names we need here.

Coincidentals
We are really looking for wrestlers who creatively chose in some way their geographical epithets. Some, listed here, just happened to have surnames that were also places:
Jack Atherton Bernard Bradford Peter Preston Derek Oldham
Alf Kent Alec Burton Roger Wells Paul Lincoln
John Lees Judo Al Hayes Tom Nelson Bruno Elrington
Bert Mansfield Flash Jordan Chesterfield Smith Blackburn Roberts
Bill Stirling Ray Crawley Cyclone Stockton Vicky Montrose
Buster Kilburn Eric Brazil Tom Tyrone Big Bill Bromley
Rocco Colombo Johnny Stafford Kiwi Kingston Tony Barry
Young Chester
Here's a rare shot of The Scourge of the East:
Sorry it's in colour.
Since he was born in Malmoa, it's fair to assume Frank Malmoa had a different real surname.
Hellfire Montana v Kilby (Morecambe) and on the same bill Texas Ted. This seems to me to be one of the reason for the downfall of wrestling as we oldies knew it. Montana by the way billed from Texas. Dale Martin promoting.
Two More ANGLO!-
YOUNG CHESTER....and 'HARLEM' JIM BROWN!!
YOUNG CHESTER-at VICTORIA HALL-OAKHAM
'HARLEM' JIM BROWN-at GAUMONT in PECKHAM

Suggest Internationals Column?-Because it's not Continental AMERICA!!
MM
Ok! If Harry KENDALL isn't acceptable, thou shalt have no more mint cake.
Furthermore, I shall keep Felicity to myself!
HAWAII Became The 50TH U.S. State in AUGUST 1959!
It's a Group of Islands in The Mid PACIFIC Ocean!
MM
Cheyenne's in.
I've got a good one: Kid Hawaii. I remember him prowling across the page of the programme, all whiskers and belly. But....I don't know which column to put him in? Need an expert on geography to tell me where Hawaii is.
You undo all your Stirling work by once again, Main Mask, suggesting a partial. The Coincidental list is dull enough without clutching at geographical straws. No you most very definitely cannot have Trelawney if the place name is Trelawney Town. Anyway, you say it WAS a town, so has probably been swallowed up somehow.
How About CHEYENNE??-State Capital of WYOMING!!
On a 1960's Independent Bill at (BOB Ha,Ha!) SCALA HALL in BRIXHAM!!
Plus TRELAWNEY TOWN was a Real Place in.....JAMAICA!!-
BRIAN TRELAWNEY?
MM
James, you have stepped outside the sixties! Nice one!
What then about Jamaica kid
Now that's more like it! Jamaica George is a top notch Creative!

Yet The Wrestler is SOUTH AFRICAN it seems!!

Aaah, it was the Belgian bit that distracted me. Apologies, James, Yes, Brazil goes on the list.
And Bromley.
But none of you are wowing me with these mere coincidences of surname. The spirit of this thread is to find wrestlers who used place names in their ring names: to show where they were from or to create the persona. We need the class of the Wild Man of Boreno and the Belfast Bruiser. I am surprised there are not far more.
The coincidentals list is quite dull, frankly. Nonetheless, I add my own first Coincidental, another Ulster one: Tom Tyrone.
May I put The Monarch of the Glen for Wild Ian, as a creative byline?
Also BIG BILL BROMLEY!!-6' 7" Giant-Who also Wrestled under The MASK
As THE EMPEROR!!
I've been to a Night Club in BROMLEY-In The 1970's!!
MAIN MASK
Think I am being dense Anglo. What is wrong with Brasil ? Whar is wrong with Brasil? Fought in UK, not real name. What's Hussey got to do with it ?
Much improved organisation of our random nonsense Anglo Italian.
Answering your questions
Yorkshire Kid (ask Hack ) - Wrestled mid 50s to 60s, also promoted as Den Promotions. Born in Pontefract but moved to Kent and called himself the Yorkshire Kid. Den Promotions made the national headlines by putting on a show between two of their trainess,.Ann Starr and Chi Chi Fathia Djaileb, Empress of the Black Dagger.
Wild Angus (waiting for Hack to elaborate) - Reference to the place in Scotland. I suggested him before you clarified the rules. I don't think he even qualifies as a coincidental, just use of a Scottish name. Suggest you remove him.
Kent Walton (Walton le Dale) - a wrestler? - Of course not. If sticking strictly to wrestlers, as you seem to be, remove him.
According to Wiki (no citation given) Jack London took his name from an author in American boxing magazines.
MM, Al Hamilton may have actually taken his name from the town of Hamilton (Scotland, not New Zealand).
His real name was Al Spittles.
Oops! Scusa!!
MM
You'd better untut. He's been on the list since the off.
Just HOW can HACK have NOT Submitted The Titan of The Sport???'''''

A quick look in the A to Z for London area names turned up a Bromley, two Barnes and a shed load of Angels.
When the day of reckoning comes, be aware that these Coincidentals will score one point each; whilst the glorious Creatives will score ten as they are in line with the true spirit of the topic.
Welcome Frostini, good to have you here. But yours is a no-no as there is only one L in the Lake District town. Redeem yourself with a Creative!
Maybe I've misses a mention somewhere, but what about Harry Kendall?
RAY CRAWLEY???-It's a Town in SUSSEX!!
MM
Always Happy to Help OSTY!!
MM
Nice one MM, i've seen Kilkenny Cat on lots of results but never on a poster.
Mansfield was not the birth name of any of the Mansfield family. The family name was Manterfield. Now whether Mansfield was chosen because of the town or just because it was easier we will probably never know.
Another Fantastic Addition-KILKENNY CAT-Here he is at MIDDLESBROUGH
In The 1930's!-On The Same Bill FRANK-NOT BERT!-MANSFIELD!!
Also We have RAY CRAWLEY at The ALEXANDRA THEATRE down in
ILFRACOMBE!!
Last-but Not Least-The MONGOLIAN MAULER Complete with Image-
Appearing at The PRINCES THEATRE in CLACTON!
MAIN MASK
"Catalina" George Drake.
Texas Jack Bence.
Here's a great video of him in action. But it's great because of his opponent, Roger Delaporte. What a magnificent pantomime villain. Just like McManus, Delaporte was the promoter in Paris and here he puts his Texan import over magnificently, remonstrating about the rules before the start and instigating a tremendous brawl after the controversial result.
Sixties wrestling at its very best.

What??-Mike's RING Name is a COUNTRY!!##??
How Much More 'Geographical' do you want???

MM
Vladimir Waldberg, aka Fred Rondel, an early 'Polish Eagle'
American Dream Machine, Yukon Eric, Detroit Donovan
These are all coincidental, then, including Flash.
Mike has nothing to do with San Marino and doesn't even qualify as a partial coincidental. You’re getting desperate!!! Try and come up with some nice Creatives. There must be loads.
Wasn't JORDAN-MIKE's OWN Surname Anglo??
MM
Just HOW?? can ANGLO have Omitted MIKE MARINO from his First
List???-Tut Tut Tut!!-SAN MARINO-Just NEXT DOOR to Himself!!##??

Are We Adding MIKE 'FLASH' JORDAN Then ANGLO??
MM
Add Blackburn Roberts to the coincidentals. He is Tommy Blackburn. Roberts was, I think, his wife's maiden name or some other relative.
Alec Burton wasn't his family name, it was Bowen. Doesn't mean he took the name from the town though.
I belive Barry took his Douglas from Doug de Relwyskow; not an island.
So his name will not go on ze list.
Agree, Kansas City Bomber is ripper.
And Lastly ANGLO-For Now-My Favourite of The Whole Weekend!...
At SWINDON in 1986 We Have THE KANSAS CITY BOMBER!!##!!!

I can come up with six wrestlers from three names:
The Hungarian Horsemen
The Magnificent Magyars
The Walthamstow Bear
South London Skinheads. Yes I'm more creative than either of us thought.
South London Skinheads, Hack? Don't go mangling history again...
The rules are clear, Main Mask has exploited them to the full. But I see you agree that the coincidences aren't in the spirit of this - we are tracing wrestling creativity here.
So I shall start a subsection.
Next squabble: borderline coincidence/creative. There's bound to be one. ☺☺☺
First job of the referee is to make the rules clear. Doesn't look good for this ref. Bring back Brian.
Limited to wrestlers who took their names from places would be a short list.
We can't be sure of anyone's motive but I would guess:
Monsieur Montreal
Klondykes maybe (but they were copied from the Americans)
Mississipi Mauler
Leon Arras maybe
Eric Leyland
Ischa Israel maybe
Boston Blackie
Yorkshire Kid
South London Skinheads
Liverpool Skinheads
Wildman of Borneo
Lincolnshire Poachers
Le Bourreau de Béthune
Mike Dallas
Alaskan Tiger
The Skinheads have been on the (sequential) list for some time. Other nice suggestions that make me also wonder:
Was Mike Dallas more to do with the tv series?
Lees and Jordan and Hayes and Nelson, I think we're getting into the realms of coincidence. But ok, I'll adhere to the rules. I think my intention at outset was to groups wrestlers who took their ring name from some specific place. All ok down to Peter Preston. Let's face it, would a Yorkshireman have chosen a Lancashire name?
Alaskan Tasker is a brilliant find! I can't help noticing that it will roll mellifluously off a northern tongue; but with my Southern twang I nearly choked trying to pronounce it. (I had the same problem in Australia with the fast-food chain Faster Pasta, which rhymes in 'Strine.)
The Turk and the Lion, too!
Somebody help me please with Blackjack Mulligan; didn't he have a NE byline?
2 More ANGLO!-
LEES-a Small Town near OLDHAM and
The Excellent MIKE 'FLASH' JORDAN!! +
The HILLY BILLY.....Again!!
Notice NO Venue on This Poster!#?

Another couple from MMs posters, Tom Nelson and Liverpool Skinheads.

Oldest Geographical Byline match has to be the Russian Lion v The Terrible Turk.
ANGLO!#!#-How CAN you Omit The Mighty KENDO NAGASAKI
From your Initial LIST???
Tut Tut!!
MM
A few byliners.
A wrestler I didn't enjoy: Ahmet Chong - Scourge of the East.
Klondyke Jake: Terror from the North
Bob Kirkwood: the Portsmouth Adonis.
John Kowalski: The Hampshire Farmer
Tony Charles: the Welsh Wizard
Tony Scarlo: the Cockney Kid
LE BOURREAU DE BETHUNE!!
MM
Jack London, Alf Kent, Roger Wells, Paul Lincoln, Alec Burton
Blackburn Roberts
Peter Preston, Jack Atherton, Wild Angus, Kent Walton (Walton le Dale), Bernard Bradford, Boston Blackie, Yorkshire Kid
I had hoped for a controversy-free run here, but ...
The Empress needed to have wrestled in the UK with a geographical name.
In the same way, no British Bulldog.
However, I believe Leon Arras is ok?
How about Ischa Isael? And Chi Chi Paris, who wrestled here as the Empress of the Black Dagger. And as for Bylines Jack Pye (The Doncaster Panther)
Well we've got to include the glorious Eric Turner, who also used the name Eric Leyland.
Two easy ones Anglo , Roy and Tony St Clair
St Clair a place in Cornwall.
Derek Oldham
