Odd thing to say?, did Jim Hussey have more of a vested interest in Wryton Promotions than we knew about?, apologies if we have covered this in the past!
I came across this photo of Jim Hussey on the internet, and @ruslan-pashayev thought it bore some similarity to the Finnie belt above. @adrianpollard.shangri-la do you have any photos of Jim Hussey wearing a belt?
I have searched and cannot find any titles, I don't think people who are far better than me on here have come up anything either. I wonder if it was just used for the Irish dates by the promoter
Portsmouth was a bit unique. John Mortimer had built up wrestling there and at one time had Bill Bankier providing the wrestlers. Jim Smith took over and introduced Jim Smith Challenge belts. Some were silver.
George Finnie was the jewel in the Crown at Portsmouth. He probably had a Jim Smith belt just to make him have some kudos as the Local Champion., Smith got many of his wrestlers from Norman Morrell.
So was the Jim Smith Belt (s) unique or was it some Old belt Morrell lent Jim for a tournament.
OSTY and RUSLAN-I'll have a Look and get back if I Find Anything!!

Does anyone know when this belt photo was taken?

any ideas on which title he held when that photo was taken?
Aren't promoters wonderful with their imagination ?
Champion of the Royal Navy. Can you see The Navy organising a tournament for that?
And who did George lose that title to?
Thanks Ron, that's why I couldn't find him from 1950 onwards.
I don't think that he wrestled at Newcastle from 50 to 56 anyway.
I reckon George Finney was at the end of his career in 1950. He had wrestled at Newcastle a lot during the war but from what I can see , not after.
George Finney. Don't remember the name and he certainly wasn't a regular during my time.
Where did we get this information from?
Can anyone give me a date of one of his fights at Newcastle please?
I take it the year in the photo was 1950. Was Finney really in Newcastle in 1950 or was it just his northern base.

George Finnie of Portsmouth - Titles
Is that a question or an answer Ruslan? (If it's a question I don't know the answer).
