Not a draw. In this match at Leith Morrell beat Angus, again in the second round.. Ed Gordon beat Jack Pye with two submissions, Charlie Green KO'd Rough House Baker and Jim Anderson KO'd Farmers Boy.
1940 January at Scunthorpe , Morrell v Angus. Bout stopped in round 2 with Angus struggling with a boil on side. Morrell refused to take the belt or the victory. A return to re arranged.
