The Olympic trials were held at the Drill Hall, Halifax on 29th May. In the final H.A. Wright of Bolton defeated W.H. Whatham of Manchester.
I also found a photo labelled "1920. Group portrait of members of the British team of wrestlers including Henry Inman from Morley, other wrestlers and their coach at the Antwerp Olympics held in 1920."
On the reverse Henry Inman had written "'Dear wife, this is a photo taken of our billet showing myself, (seated right), with Wright of Bolton, C.S.M. Mason of Middlesborough, McDonald of Scotland and our coach, Mr. Webster of London.'"
There was a Peter Wright amateur wrestler, and he was the Mayor of Newport in Monmouthshire.
Ron, Hack, thanks these men Stott and Wright were the top Northern Counties (I mean East Lancashire & West Riding of Yorkshire) pre-WW1 amateur wrestlers who continued their amateur careers after the great war was over.
The Wright's year of birth being 1894 does make sense, right before the war that man was about 20yo. Stott I would think was couple of years older, he was a contender in the 1910-11 season.
Again there was NO pro wrestling around that time period in England so it does make sense, they never turned pros.
I don't know when this photo was taken, I am assuming right before the war.
There was wrestling in the 1920 Olympics. I can find H.A. Wright of Bolton Y.M.C.A. taking part in the Olympic trials at the Drill Hall, Halifax on 29th May but no sign of him going through to the Olympics.
You haven't been reading your Olympic Heritage in the Heritage Newsletter Ruslan.
There was a Wright there, but it was Peter Wright. Here are the competitors in the 1920 Olympics.

Peter Wright is the name given in various places on the internet, e.g.

That doesn't mean it's right, though. We all know that mistakes are often transferred from one web page to another.
I do think this is the case here and the Olympic representative was H.A. Wright of Bolton. That's what the Bolton Revisited page cited by Ron states.

1920 was the year Nat Pendleton won his Silver medal. He later appeared in many films.
Apologies , I was wrong on the Olympics.
H.A Wright is mentioned here , a good article on the start of Bolton Wrestling.

Some conjecture as to which Wright won the bronze medal at the 1920 Olympics in Antwerp.
Maybe Peter Wright is a mistake.
Where is this photo from Ruslan?

You would expect amateurs to keep records.;
I can't see any evidence and I don't think they had wrestling in the 1920 Olympics.
If I have spotted the guy in question , then he was Herbert A Wright , born 1894 in Bolton and went on to be a Masseur/ Astheopath
He certainly was well placed for the best part of a decade in the amateurs so may have won something incorrectly reported.
