for about 2 years I was trying to get this bill (I never gave up and knew it existed), and now I have it, and very happy to share it here with you. Enjoy !!!
Just a guess, but these may have been one-fall contests. So you're looking at 15 falls total compared with 10-15 on a standard five match card (or some matches only having one fall but going to the time limit.)
One way to do it might have been to have short time limits (say three or four rounds) and say that in the event of a draw both men are eliminated. That way you'd have a logical explanation for the wrestlers going faster/"taking more risks" than in a standard contest.
Perhaps the oddest thing would be promoters paying out for so many wrestlers (plus any bonuses for people wrestling multiple times), which is presumably reflected in the price.
Many congratulations to the Russian Concussion - so pleased for you. And what a magnificent result!
Looks good on paper, Powerlock, but in actual fact I bet there was some skulduggery to accommodate timings. Like a valiant quarter final winner being unable to continue through injury, thereby gifting a bye to his opponent.
So Ruslan, this is the one that Rebel Ray won, isn't it? Hard not to consider the pecking order and how they would have come to that decision. Maybe having to wrestle 4 times gave him the hump and he rebelled off to Paul Lincoln straight away afterwards?
Fascinating to see a true Joint Promotion, too. What is the word before Norman, please?
It would have been a hell of a long show I wonder if they ran another one night tournament with as many combatants, I would have thought the only punters left by the time the final took place was ones within walking distance or own transport as I would have thought public transport would have stopped running by the time the show had finished.
Some wrestlers in the ring four times, it may be that there was more than 15 bouts as the last semi final winner would have to have a break before the final

Well done Ruslan!
This is the one I referred to. The Main Mask we need you !!!
As far as we know the opening round matchups were:
Drapp v Hussey;
Marino v Ali Riza Bey;
St Clair Gregory v Davies;
Tibor v Williams
Baldwin v Sullivan;
Hunter v Gene Murphy; (an all-Aussie matchup)
Garfield v Poilve
(which would make Muller vs Mitchell the other bout)
Final was Hunter over Drapp.
Seems like the top ticket price was over £40 in today's money (if i've worked that out correctly).
That's hefty.
Well done Ruslan. You never give up. I just wonder ehy6 have all 16 wrestlers on one night when they could have spread them out over two shows.
Strange sequencing of the prices: 30/- 35/- then ten bob downwards.
I'm on your wavelength, Powerlock, wondering how they managed it all: and of course the promoters will have had the very same thoughts 61 years ago.
Gene Murphy jumps out as an unknown in hallowed company.
All very well to notice it's a rare JP bill - but why? Why the big exception?
The more I know, the less I understand.
Well we got there in the end, nice find Ruslan!
The word is "also" Anglo.
Ruslan never ever gives up , he is such a special person with his own brand of Wrestling enthusiasm.
This bill can take it's place in Wrestling History
And yes there would have been some very clever ways of producing some quick bouts , quite possibly every trick in the book and then some.
