Here's part of an email received today, and we have confirmation that this was the Fishers.
I don't know how much you've been following this, but we've uncovered about 300 French Catch matches from 50s-80s from the INA in France. We're slowly reviewing them on Segunda Caida and posting them unlisted on youtube as we don't want to be cut off if we find more, though the collection is out there through certain channels.
One of the match we've uncovered is this really remarkable tag from July 19, 1957 where I think it's Charlie and Arthur Fisher vs Roger Delaporte and Guy Robin.

I wanted to bring this to your attention since I'm sure you'd be interested and could corroborate that these are the English team in question, and also because of how great the Fisher family archive on the website is. I don't know how much footage exists of them. I don't think there's a ton online, but if the family is interested, it'd be great if you could channel this youtube link back to them so they can have another piece of their family's history.
Thanks for these links
Charlie was so dynamic. Great to see a savatte kick for once placed with impact at 26:07; and I've never seen anything like his rolling leg throws at 28:37.
Loved seeing the audience excitedly lighting up after the equalizer.
And Charlie's anger and revenge after the final bell were great value for the crowd.
A long bout with a perfectly ineffective referee, who ostensibly looked in control.
Thanks for sharing, great nostalgia.
Roger Delaporte became a top Parisian promoter and is interviewed here in a documentary, also with comments from Roger Couderec (= Kent Walton), the same comments as we have about huge tv audiences: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zq-sBHIIgNg It also shows the preliminaries (foreplay?) of a topless ladies tag, as James mentioned the other day.
Here's one I found of the Black Diamonds - "world middleweight tag champions from America" and both of them left-handed!

And another with Quasimodo in tag: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQEhfmBUr84
Great to see four men in plain trunks and no gimmicks.
They just get on with great wrestling , telling a story with a few antics here and there. Just what it was all about.
