One of New Zealand's favourite and toughest Wrestlers was Peter Maivia.
Any memories from the United Kingdom on his best matches, and against who? He was certainly one of the most powerful wrestlers to enter the wrestling ring.

Maivia was up there alongside Ricky Starr and Billy Two Rivers as a colourful international visitor, but a better wrestler than either. We were suckers for some simple gimmicks in those days but lying across the top ropes between rounds must have been one of the most simple yet memorable.
It seemed such a shock when he left the country after being here for so long. I think we all considered him one of our own. His fan club continued for a while afterwards, but eventually we realised we had seen him go for good.
