Mick was certainly shorter out of the ring than he was in it. I am currently the custodian of his wrestling boots and there are substantial build ups fitted to the bottom of the boots to make him taller in the ring.
The 5'6" came from the Who's Who of Wrestling Book. Sounds about right as he wasn't tall, but then he wasn't a welterweight, wasn't Irish and not the age he claimed to be.
5 ft 4 boots in the 70s built up,he was quite concious of height.
Interestingly wrestlingdata.com gives Adrian as five feet seven inches(1.70m)Judging by the photo maybe.I think he also gives this height in his book.
I was up close with him plenty of times. I'd say 5'4" in regular shoes.
Looks the same as Street give or take half an inch.
I have stood near Street and would put him bang on five six. Bobby Barnes was bigger but perhaps not by as much as two inches.
Have stood next to an old Logan age 70ish and suspect he was about five eight and a half when in his prime.
Forget the hair , McManus and Street look similar.
Five six when young looks a good call , no more.
