Twenty years today (9th January 2002) since the death of Les Kellett.
Seen a couple of posters where Les faced Bert Royal. Anyone know if Les had his serious head on against such a technician? Can't imagine Kellett risking a loss through his usual comedic shenanigans to a serious opponent.
I've found reference to him wrestling in France and Spain, where he is often listed as Champion of Ireland!
Wasn’t he regularly billed from Edinburgh at one point?
The Edinburgh thing had quite a time span.
What an all time great. Amateur champ in 1936 and can you believe wrestling in 1940 or even earlier.
I Believe LES Started Wrestling Professionally on 1938!!
