Thanks Ron. When we first discussed Thesz, which must be about 15 years ago, we all dutifully believed the official "The Wrestler" line that Thesz had made only one appearance, the match against Dara Singh at the Royal Albert Hall. Together, we have travelled a long way.
a very simple schema. once American world champ lost his claims here in the US he would claim the non existing international championship and travel worldwide defending it, lol. so did Londos in the 30s, so did Sexton in the 40s, and so did Thesz in the 50s. in America no one cared for those commercial trips.
