Another Great MIDLANDS Venue for Wrestling was EMBASSY SPORTSDROME in the
SPARKBROOK District of BIRMINGHAM!-The Shows put on here by CONRAD DAVIS in
the 1960's were very Popular and Well Attended with Quality Bills Featuring Top Wrestlers!
For Me-rather than obtaining Autographs-more of a Priority was to make sure I got My Posters
and Programmes for every Show I went to!-In those Days-My Posters went up on My Bedroom
Walls and Ceiling!!-The SPORTSDROME Programmes were A4 Sized with Photos and thus
Good/Collectable 'Souvenirs'!
Below I'm Holding One of My Giant EMBASSY Posters from 1968-Featuring the Two
HUNGARIAN 'JOSEFS'!-Really Good Bill this with VEIDOR getting his Full Name!-And AL
MIQUET During his Reign as BRITISH LIGHTWEIGHT Champion as well as the Two 'IRON
MEN' of BRITISH Wrestling!...KELLETT and LOGAN in Separate Contests!!
Great INKS on this Cracking Poster too!!

"The bills provide the answer to the question raised on another thread enquiring why interest waned in the sport. How can the “Big Daddy” era compare at all with these excellent offerings?"
This says it all. William sums up everything I believe about traditional British wrestling.
Yes, sad about Blackpool this year William, but obviously inevitable. I didn't have long enough to talk to you (or Ron and Adrian) last year and will try to make amends next year. It's made my day that you are planning to return.
