This is Marie Caldwell, wife of Eddie Rose. Marie has set herself a challenge, and that is to virtually run the distance from Lands End to John O'Groats in time to celebrate her 85th Birthday on 26th August. Marie's Charity Run
Marie has in fact decided to continue and do the reverse run back to Lands End. Not bad for an 85 year old. She is a former marathon and ultra distance runner and held British and European records at one time for 100 miles etc. I was a sprinter and won Lancashire and Northern Counties titles for 100, 200 and 400 races. I used running as an aid to keeping fit for wrestling; if there's one thing you needed it was stamina! Marie has completed her challenge with more than two weeks to go to her 85th birthday. At the moment she has raised £585, but we can still contribute.
